Advanced Wound Dressing

Microbe binding round swab. Sorbact® microbe binding dressings prevent and treat wound infections by lowering the bioburden. Microbes bind to the dressing surface and are removed when the dressing is changed.

FOR CLEANSING OR AS WOUND FILLER Sorbact® Round Swab is a sterile, bacteria- and fungi-binding wound swab. It consists of a green Sorbact® wound contact layer shaped to a spherical swab, held together by a silicone ring. The diameter of the swab is 3cm.

Swabs come in a sterile pack of 5 with 14 packets in a box (70 swabs in total).

INTENDED USE Sorbact® Round Swab is suitable for wound cleansing or as wound filler in the management of clean, contaminated, colonised or infected exuding wounds, such as minor cavity wounds.

  1. Remove the dressing from the pouch using an aseptic technique.
  2. Moisten Sorbact® Round Swab with the irrigation solution (e.g. saline solution); squeeze out the excess.
  3. Gently clean the wound according to local clinical practice.
