Heartsine Defibrillators
HEARTSINE™ DEFIBRILLATORS ARE SIMPLY "LIFESAVERS"
SOLMED is pleased to be able to provide the total assurance that if it comes to saving a life then we have the Defibrillator to match your Application.
We are delighted to be able to offer HeartSine™ Defibrillators from the Inventors of Defibrillators. We have a range available for the Trained Paramedical Team through to the easy to use totally automatic Public Access Units.
Solmed chose HeartSine Defibrillators because of what they can do to save lives however, we were also keen to get involved with the "FORWARD HEARTS" Program.
Forward Hearts lets survivors of a sudden cardiac arrest event, in which a HeartSine defibrillator has been used, to potentially save another life by donating a HeartSine samaritan® PAD to the charity or organization of the survivor’s choice.
HeartSine is committed to saving lives and making public access Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) more readily available. The donation of a HeartSine defibrillator through the Forward Hearts program extends this life-saving technology to even more people, offering many a better chance of survival in the case of sudden cardiac arrest.
How the Program Works
When a HeartSine Samaritan PAD AED is used to save a life, the local distributor works to connect everyone involved – the owner of the site, the survivor, and HeartSine – to begin the donation program. The survivor can choose to make his/her donation to the charity anonymously and confidentially, or as part of a public announcement. HeartSine and the local distributor will coordinate the donation and the presentation to the charity. To celebrate the life-saving event, the donation is made in the survivor’s name, in HeartSine’s name, and in the local distributor’s name.
Let us know if you have an event as you can be passing on a "Life Saving Device" to someone else.
Now have a look at the importance of Defibrillation using Heartsine Patented Technology.
Samaritan® PAD 500P Public Access Defibrillator with CPR Advisor
Defibrillation is easy, CPR is the hard part...
Regardless of whether it is a lay person or a professional rescuer, the AHA/ERC guidelines place a greater emphasis on the importance of CPR and advocate the prompt initiation of effective bystander CPR to significantly reduce mortality due to out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest (CA). HeartSine can now provide a device to support these guidelines by the introduction of the HeartSine samaritan PAD with CPR Advisor model 500P.
We have models to suit all potential Scenarios:
Public Access
Every Public Area should have access to an AED Defibrillator, preferably within 3 minutes walking distance. HeartSine have just the product for you, with low consumable costs over the life of the device.
- more than 80% of all cardiac deaths happen at home, in your spare time or at work.
- In Australia almost 30,000 people die of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) a year.
- You are more likely to die of SCA than of Cancer
- You are most likely to die of SCA outside an area of medical help
- SCA strikes suddenly and time is of the essence
- Every minute of delay reduces chance of survival by 10% - after 10 minutes it’s all over
- Statistics show the average ambulance response time is above 12 minutes
- Without effective CPR & defibrillation you have about 4 minutes before risk of irreversible damage or death
- If there was a vaccine developed that was effective against cancer, would you not buy it? Defibrillation and CPR is the only effective treatment for SCA
- Do you have a fire extinguisher in your house or workplace? Nearly 30,000 Australians die from SCA each year - you are more likely to die of SCA than in a fire
Heartsine have just the product for you, with low consumable costs over the life of the device.
- As many as 1 in 500 people may suffer from cardiac myopathies in which the heart muscle is unusually thick. This often undetected condition can lead to SCA and can be precipitated by exercise.
- Commotio Cordis is a condition in which the heart suddenly stops beating effectively following a relatively low velocity impact with a blunt object to the chest. The impact can be in the form of a rugby ball, football, hockey ball, knee or shoulder. In the USA it has been documented as being the second most common cause of SCA in school age athletes.
- 70% of all SCA's are thought to be due to Coronary Heart Disease. This may be asymptomatic until the attack and is often precipitated by exercise.
Many Fitness Centres in Australia have invested in the safety of their members by installing a Heartsine AED Defibrillator. Our overall package with economical wall cabinet options and other accessories, backed up with a 10 year warranty on the AED means you can’t go wrong with HeartSine.
Emergency & Paramedical, First Aid Trainers, Schools, Sporting Clubs, Fitness Centres, Hospitality sectors are all areas where an AED Defibrillator "CAN SAVE A LIFE".

PAD 500P AED Defibrillator
Overview
Regardless of whether it is a layperson or a professional rescuer, AHA/ERC Guidelines place a greater emphasis on the importance of effective CPR in increasing survival rates after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
The HeartSine® samaritan® PAD 500P defibrillator with integrated CPR ADVISOR™ is the most innovative device available to support these guidelines, giving rescuers feedback on the effectiveness of their CPR efforts – in real time.
How It Works
CPR, Cardio (heart) Pulmonary (lung) Resuscitation, combines compressing the heart to circulate blood to all the vital organs and, at the same time, breathing into the victim to supply oxygen.
The SAM 500P defibrillator provides the rescuer with real-time instructions regarding compressions with audible “Good Compressions” or “Push Harder,” “Push Faster” and “Push Slower.” These instructions also are displayed on the face of the device in order to ensure the rescuer performs the most effective CPR.
Impedance Cardiogram (ICG) analysis is embedded in the software, which guides the user in the required force and speed of compressions for the victim. The ICG measures impedance changes in the chest cavity, which helps determine effective CPR. Because the ICG is related to how fast the compressions are applied, as well as how hard, the 500P can guide the user on both rate and depth.
After being instructed to “Begin CPR,” an audible beep for the appropriate cadence will help the rescuer keep time when performing compressions. The objective during CPR using the 500P is to hear “Good Compressions” and to see green on the CPR indicator.
Defibrillation is easy, CPR is the hard part. The HeartSine samaritan PAD 500P provides all the advantages of the 300P/350P with the addition of an innovative CPR Advisor. Regardless of whether it is a lay person or a professional rescuer, the AHA/ERC guidelines place a greater emphasis on the importance of CPR and advocate the prompt initiation of effective bystander CPR to significantly reduce mortality due to out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest.
PAD 350P AED Defibrillator
Overview
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death globally. Response time is critical for survival. The HeartSine samaritan® PAD 350P was designed especially for use in public areas by providing a sophisticated defibrillator for adult or paediatric use, inside a lightweight and easy-to-operate system. Its advanced technology is balanced against the demands of real world use.
The 350P uses HeartSine’s practical Pad-Pak™, which incorporates the battery and electrodes in a single-use cartridge – meaning only one expiration date to monitor and only one item to replace after use. The 350P is suitable for use on adults and children. For children younger than 8 years or weighing less than 25 kg (55 lbs), a Pediatric-Pak™ is available.
How It Works
The HeartSine samaritan PAD is an automated external defibrillator (AED) that analyzes the heart rhythm and delivers an electrical shock to victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in order to restore the heart to normal rhythm. This user-friendly AED provides easy to follow visual and audio prompts to guide the rescuer from pad application to shock delivery, if required.
It’s lifesaving, pure and simple.
