SKINTACT® ECG ELECTRODES FOR DIAGNOSIS & MONITORING
From Leonhard Lang (Austria) Europe's most trusted ECG Manufacturer.
Raising the Standards
Excellent quality ECG recordings are dependent on three main factors: good skin preparation, superior quality electrodes, and a continuous unbroken electrical pathway from the skin to the ECG machine.
Electrodes often have to perform under very strenuous conditions, therefore at Leonhard Lang we dedicate valuable time and attention to the design and construction of our electrodes; we then carefully select only the finest quality materials and component parts to produce them.
Uniquely, we design and build our own machines that are state of the art in manufacturing technology ensuring you quality products that are second to none.
“Connect with quality” is our motto and our goal is to provide you with consistently reliable products.
Our no compromise attitude to quality and choice at very competitive prices, undoubtedly is raising the standards in ECG technology.
C-Line stands for “cured on line“. By curing on line Leonhard Lang can deploy materials or properties only where they are needed in a product, bringing you the freshest possible electrodes.
This technology is also easy on the environment as it does not waste resources. Our Aqua-Tac electrodes in particular benefit from C-Line. They are the next generation in hydrogel technology and bring together the instant pickup of signal you demand with the durability, dependability, and quality of trace required for longer procedures.
C-Line combines the manufacture of the hydrogel and the electrode all in one, significantly reducing cost which is why our electrodes are very competitively priced and as fresh as can be.
The choice of sensors is critical to the performance of an electrode. Skintact electrodes only incorporate sensor systems of superior electrical properties and contact quality.
In Skintact standard snap electrodes only the highest quality durable stainless steel studs are used.
They are machined to tolerances, which create minimum wear on your lead wires.
All eyelets have an Ag/AgCl layer. With C-LINE technology AgCl is only placed at the interface to the gel in Aqua-wet and Aqua-set electrodes to prevent c orrosive effects and to maintain undiminished quality for the duration of their shelf life.
As the requirements for short term procedures are so different to the ones needed for long term monitoring Leonhard Lang has developed a range of conductive mediums specific to these applications. Our gels have excellent pick up capabilities, provide reliable quality recordings with minimal skin reactions to the patient.
AQUA-WET: Liquid gels designed for fast pick up of the ECG signal even if inadequate skin prep is carried out. Aqua electrodes are an ideal choice for short term procedures. They give dependable quick tracing with easy application and removal.
AQUA-SET: A solid wet gel designed for long term procedures and stress testing.
Aqua –Set electrodes offer longer lasting performance. Due to the solid wet gel formulation these
electrodes are an ideal choice for long term monitoring. Our specially formulated conductive medium has excellent electrical response and due to its aqueous nature provides a quick reduction of skin impedance producing excellent quality recordings and stable baselines. Its semi-solid nature also helps reduce motion artefacts. Finally they are less prone to gel dry out and can be pressed in the centre without the risk of gel spreading onto the adhesive.
AQUA-TAC: The next generation in hydrogel elec-
trodes. Aqua-Tac electrodes are fast becoming the choice in long and short term procedures. Solid adhesive Aqua-Tac offers the best of both worlds i.e. quick pick up even if inadequate skin prep is carried out and provides consistently high quality recordings for long term monitoring with minimal skin reactions.
Aqua-Tac also gives the added benefit of 100% skin surface contact.
There is a combination of Skintact adhesives and backings to meet the requirements of every major application. Versatile Skintact electrodes are available with four backings:
Demanding applications such as anaesthesia, emergency care, and stress tests put electrode stability and reliability to the test. Foam backing materials protect sensor and gel from surgical and cleaning fluids. The thin foam layer permits maximum flexibility.
Skin-friendly microporous tape adapts well to body contours, increasing comfort. Tape-backed Skintact electrodes promote breathability and transpiration, important in long term applications. Soft cloth backing offers many of the benefits of tape plus added elasticity to conform to most body movements. Cloth backed Skintact electrodes provide the long term comfort and durability required by active patients.
Clear tape backing combines sensor area protection against fluids and some breathability through its perforation. In addition being transparent it permits constant skin observation.
Packaging in Steamproof Aluminium Sealed bags ensures fresh water content in gel remains moist for that guaranteed signal througout the shelf life.
Easy to tear open pouches which can be folded over after use.
Quick and easy removal of electrodes from there backing liner.
Non-adhesive tabs making removal of electrodes quick and comfortable for the patient.
All Skintact electrodes are Latex free.
Skintact use only high quality stainless steel snaps instead of Nickel-plated ones used by some manufacturers.
As Skintact electrodes are made from environmentally friendly materials they can be disposed of using standard waste disposal procedures unless clinical protocol requires differently.
Performance and safety of all Skintact electrodes and other ECG products have been designed and stringently tested according to all applicable standards. All Skintact ECG electrodes meet ANSI/AAMI EC12: 2000 on disposable ECG electrodes, ISO 10993 on biocompatibility and the European Medical Device Directive.
